Are you wondering which type of hay is ​better for your pet?

ALFALFA choice
*If your Rabbit is younger than 7 months old
*Your Chinchilla is less than 1 year old
*Your Guinea Pig is less than 6 months old
we recommend Alfalfa hay cubes as it is a fattier hay aiding growth and healthy digestion of young pets.

However - Once your pet is OLDER than the listed ages - it is best to start transitioning them to Timothy hay, then making Alfalfa only a treat in balance with their regular diet

TIMOTHY HAY choice

*If your pet is 1 year old or older, we recommend Timothy Hay as either a treat or a less-messy alternative to hay to promote healthy digestion.

I recently started trying out timothy hay cubes with my chinchillas to see if they would enjoy them. The first couple of batches I bought were Exotic Nutrition Timothy Hay Cubes. My chinchillas enjoyed them, but I wasn't keen on the quality. Additionally, I prefer to support small businesses. Thus, I decided to give a try to this shop's timothy hay cubes. In comparison, they are a lot thicker, the color is more vibrant, they smell fresher, and don't crumble as easily. My chinchillas also adore them and each cube lasts several days before it is munched through. I would highly recommend these cubes to any owner of a rodent that enjoys tim hay.
