Donation to the Long Island Rabbit Rescue
with the Brookhaven Animal Shelter
A customer, who's rabbit loves our apple sticks, reached out to us about providing a discount for a donation she wanted to make to the Long Island Rabbit Rescue. She recently started volunteering there through the Brookhaven Animal Shelter and wanted to treat those bunnies to the apple sticks that her rabbit loves so much. We were instantly willing to provide her a discount to donate the sticks, as well as providing two additional pounds of the apple sticks as our personal donation! We hope the bunnies are enjoying their new healthy treats.
Rescue and adoption are near and dear to our heart, having several rescues of our own.

We are so thankful for your sticks and the generosity by throwing in the extra two pounds for us!

Rescued Rabbits & Guinea Pigs at The Little Ponderosa Zoo
After receiving a message from a customer, we learned that The Little Ponderosa Zoo & Rescue (located in Clinton, TN), received 60+ rabbits and guinea pigs as the result of a rescue/surrender hoarding situation!
We immediately wanted to help as we have personally adopted shelter animals.
We at Furry Friends Approved, have donated 50lb of Timothy Hay, 50lb of Adult Rabbit Food, 25lb of Adult Guinea Pig Food, and 453L of bedding for these newly rescued animals! Every little bit helps - and we would like to encourage everyone who is able to consider making a donation.

August 2021 Update
"They are doing so good now! It was a terrible situation when they arrived as they were all covered in fleas and most had ear mites and they arrived in filthy cages. I placed them with 4 fosters because of their grim situation and supplied the fosters with all the food, water, and covered all vet costs. Two of the fosters that each took 4 rabbits want to keep theirs and we will be offering some of the others that are doing the best up for adoption soon. Thank you so much for your help! We could not do what we do with out support! Between wildlife, domestics, and exotics, we get between 8-20 animals in daily. We have a dedicated staff and volunteers who keep them clean, well fed, and happy. It really does take a village!" - The Little Ponderosa Zoo
